The dollar amount would depend on the year of withdrawal (since, of course, the size of the CPP investment fund changes over time). But now, intuitively, we should have in mind not 334 billion, but something like 120-150 billion.

Before the snow came we had the most amazing hoar frost. Now we adjust to cold and snow, with lots of sunshine hopefully!

Found some details to not trust Poilievre about our pension plan in Canada: #CPP #NeverTrustConservatives

In 2012, Pierre voted to increase the age of eligibility for Old Age Security (OAS) and the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) from 65 to 67

Pierre Poilievre will take a wrecking ball to your pension
Throughout his time in office, Pierre Poilievre has never shied away from an opportunity to weaken pensions and retirement security for his fellow Canadians. Any time Conservatives come to power, they...

Agree 💯
.@JustinTrudeau may not be your first pick, I told a friend. That’s democracy.

But with Trump’s and his appointees’ aggressive attitude toward Canada, our economy, borders and water, we need domestic stability and unity.

Trudeau handled Trump administration competently for four years.

He’s not done everything perfectly but I’m far more aligned with Liberal policies than what else is being offered. Pollievre is not Conservative and a cringe candidate imho
I don’t believe in the narrative, generated by conservative news media, that implies Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is past his expiry date. I am not tired of him. I stand with Trudeau.

It will be a scary, backward world if we allow these diseases to run rampant again 😢
Anyone else find the attacks against vaccines heartbreaking?

Also, so relieved to be on #BlueSky where I can share these feelings without being trashed - thank you.

“researchers … determined that vaccines saved 154 million lives since 1974.”

I keep on masking when indoors but sadly am usually the only one. I get the “wanting to live my life” sentiment but what will that life be if you end up disabled from a virus?
Medical and public health colleagues, we need to do something about this “I have walking pneumonia” confusion.

Patients say, “I hear there’s a lot of walking pneumonia right now.”

What do they think it is caused by?

Pneumonia is caused by bacteria or viruses. Covid is a virus.

Also, mask up, eh.

So appreciate these tips as a new user!
Thread for those new to BlueSky. First of all, welcome. It feels like a safer space, doesn’t it? But also perhaps a bit disorienting initially? Here’s some tips for getting your bearings.
