The article that got #RebeccaSolnit FB account disabled. They are also taking it down if anyone else shares it.
For those not following the drama earlier, it's for sharing this piece advocating for nonviolence (but not being judgy about how targeted people respond either). And saying some things about governmental/ institutional violence.
Some Notes on the City of Angels and the Nature of Violence
I think maybe it's begun, the bigger fiercer backlash against the Trump Administration which is itself a violent backlash against every good thing that's happened over the past several decades – the a...

Today I’d like to #LiftToTheSky @brokenspinearts.bsky.social for starting #LiftToTheSky an absolutely joyful, positive, community-building concept. Thank you 🥰

Bluesky is an "echo chamber" but Twitter is some kind of what, salon? An egalitarian agora where ideas are respectfully exchanged?

Twitter is a smoking Cybertruck with a greasy dude reeking of Axe Body Spray offering Circus Peanuts out of the back seat. I have no interest in getting into that ride.

My personal embroidery has taken a bit of a backseat as I’m working on a community textile project with our #LongCovidSupport group at #BrainHealthBreakthroughCIC

My piece for this week’s #WIPWednesday is for @longcovidsupport.bsky.social Long Covid Banner. Those numbers are my lowest & highest recorded heart rates since I started wearing an armband monitor this year. A slightly rushed freehand piece because of the deadline. I’m using coton a broder thread

How is it #WIPWednesday again already? Did a bit more on my woodland #embroidery ‘Life Force’ at the weekend but I’ve ground to a halt again. I’ll come back to it.

My current work in progress is very slow progress, but that’s ok.

The embroidery style is known as thread painting, stitched with single strands of embroidery floss to build up layers of detail. It can take hours to do a very small area.

UK WRITERS: You need to fill in this consulation. Govt is very clearly looking to an opt-out model of rights licensing that puts all the burden on creators instead of profiteers. It's long and boring but this is important.
