Many Europeans (my experience is w Germans) have sort of medieval beliefs about all moving air & things people do to cool off being unhealthy. They don't just hate A/C, they also hate fans & are judgey about iced drinks. They've had the luxury of these views bc til recently their summers weren't hot

Somewhat similarly, the birth rate in Poland has plummeted since the near-total abortion ban (also touted as "pro-family"), in part because even people who want kids aren't willing to risk having to raise a severely disabled kid in a country with inadequate support for the disabled.

This, like most definitions of millennial that're based on actual cultural/political phenomena and not an arbitrary cut-off date, includes Xennials: lead was taken out of regular gas in 1975 & lead paint was banned in 1978. We're way less lead-poisoned than other GenXers & we vote like millennials.

This, like most definitions of millennial that're based on actual cultural/political phenomena and not an arbitrary cut-off date, includes Xennials: lead was taken out of regular gas in 1975 & lead paint was banned in 1978. We're way less lead-poisoned than other GenXers & we vote like millennials.
It's totally at the intersection of misogyny and weird American notions about children -- that children are the property of their parents, solely an extension of their parents & not human beings with rights -- which seem to spring from a worldview where the only rights are property rights.
