When you decide to ride the bus instead of shovel out the giant snow rift around your car but then the bus gets canceled, so then you shovel out your car and just as you’re about to see if your car will be able to make it you get a text saying we can all work from home.

So I’m reading thus really excellent novek by @catswrites.bsky.social set in the late 50s and I had this moment of realizing that it’s near impossible to have a queer historical romance without some fear that someone will hurt them. And thought about all the people who found love anyway.

I have been a smidge stressed (whoever knows why) but reading a romance novel while eating vegan pizza is helping a little.
