I think I’m getting to that age where it might be smart to pay someone to do some of the more difficult stuff outside. Getting on ladders and pushing myself to heat exhaustion isn’t as satisfying as it once was…

I’ve been spending time working in the front yard garden trying to clear out weeds. Did you know that weeds & grass will always find a way to return? Still finding remnants of my lawn even though it’s been a couple of years. It’s been an all day for many days on & off. Needless to say, I’m tired

I said my goodbyes with Dad on Saturday thinking it was the end. He held on throughout the week.
I didn’t expect to see him today but I needed paperwork. Seeing him today was difficult-he hardly is in there now-barely holding on.
I told him that I’d see him on the other side…

I sat with my Father & held his hand for what was my last visit. He was able to see me. He gave me a kiss & said he loved me, although that effort was enormously taxing for his failing body. I let him know that I believe the meaning of life is love & that he was very loved. Mission accomplished Dad💖

I’m going to see my Dad tomorrow if he makes it through the night…It will be the last time I ever see him I believe. He’s lived a good life. I can’t be sad about that💖

Juniper eats cooked salmon now-so she’s getting a bit more nutrition
The stray showed up overnight for the first time since last Sunday. He was the one who had this virus three weeks ago. We noticed him doing the lucky-face thing and had thought it was odd.

Juniper tested positive for Calicivirus so it means she is going to need to live alone in the basement for a few weeks-🙄

She had her vet visit today. I love her vet. She is such a badass. Anyway-waiting for the rapid test results that should be back tomorrow. She ate some today. Hoping for more of that energy tonight

Juniper had a rough day-lots of meds and not able to eat. Calling her primary care vet tomorrow morning and hoping to be seen.

What a long 24hrs… Juniper is home resting in her basement where she is improving. Her tongue was so inflamed she wasn’t eating or drinking. The meds and intravenous fluids they gave her made such a quick difference. When she got home she was alert and hungry. She might have gotten Calcivirus.

My cat Juniper seems to have maybe put something in her mouth that she shouldn’t have. Sticky drool and now a fever. My cat Juniper seems to have maybe put something in her mouth that she shouldn’t have. Sticky drool and now a fever. Took her to the er last night but was sent home because the only on-call doctor when into surgery & we couldn’t be seen. Waiting now for 8am to call our vet. Fingers crossed for her 🍀

I think my cat ate a stink bug… ugh. (I was carrying in groceries and noticed one fly near me. I went to put down my groceries and couldn’t find it-a few minutes later I saw my cat Juniper drooling and so I suspect she “found it”
