How Labour think that ramping up the anti-migrant rhetoric is a way to defeat the ‘dark forces’ ‘stirring up anger in this country’ is beyond me. This is merely joining in with the appalling rabble rousing we see from the far right and legitimising their hate. It’s scandalous!

I can’t begin to express the disgust I feel at reading this from Labour. They lurch from bad to worse and no amount of fearing Reform will persuade me to vote for them next time. Next time it’s Green or Independent.

Sounds like racism enshrined in law to me.

You’re one of the few speaking up on behalf of so many of us. Help us get our voices heard and thank you.

There is something so sick about this. Utterly unbearable to watch this descent into authoritarianism. And Labour wonder why they have become so unpopular! How can we begin to feel safe as a people with this grotesque eroding of our civil liberties?

They have become such a horror show.
September 2, 2025 at 2:27 PM
The performative cruelty of this government seems to have no end. They think former loyal Labour voters like me will fall in to line at the elections. I have news for them! We will not!
September 1, 2025 at 2:52 PM
Such nasty, racist provocation. No wonder he’s tanking in the polls.
August 14, 2025 at 10:53 AM
This government has misstepped again. The optics of this are just terrible as is the shocking waste of police time. How could I ever vote for this scandalous bunch again?
August 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM
There’s something very chilling about this.
August 5, 2025 at 2:22 PM
There are still so many allies out here trying to speak up for trans rights because we absolutely believe in them. L

If only….
August 1, 2025 at 11:45 AM
Surely that’s the point of Labour. If it can’t be that then I can no longer vote for it.
June 28, 2025 at 8:57 PM
Thank you Clive - the Labour government have been such a disappointment. I never thought I’d consider not voting Labour. If only there were more like you in the Cabinet.
June 24, 2025 at 4:07 PM
I wish there were more voices like yours in the party. I feel my party has been taken away from me by a right wing bunch who are intent on taking away from the already vulnerable. It’s no longer Labour

Starmer sacrifices any integrity and loses many Labour supporters without gaining the Reform voters he wants.
May 15, 2025 at 12:26 PM
He needs to think why he lost the very safe seat of Leicester South and not just blame it on the Muslim vote. There were many Labour supporting white voters who were disenchanted by the rhetoric during the election who opted for the independent candidate whose views were more relatable.

They are relying on their base to tolerate their cruel language and the lack of compassion and fairness in their decision making. Truly they are awful and are filling me with revulsion. Time to look elsewhere.
May 13, 2025 at 12:48 PM
I can’t believe how alienated I feel and quite stricken as I’ve always voted Labour. But I can’t take this latest outrage on top of all the other deprivations they’re imposing on the vulnerable. I feel forced to look elsewhere. I’m not sure who my vote will go to now but I’ve started looking.
May 13, 2025 at 11:33 AM
They were already well on their way to blowing up their base through their cruel decisions on winter fuel payments and disability benefits. This dogwhistle attack takes them beyond the pale and is not even working for them on their own terms. We need change.
May 13, 2025 at 10:37 AM
I have voted Labour faithfully all my life and never thought I would rethink my options but this dangerous language has pushed me over the edge. They don’t even pretend to care about a more just and equal world. They have lost all moral compass.
May 12, 2025 at 3:04 PM
They come across as so mean! How do they think that makes people want to vote for them? The Tories are known as the nasty party. Labour is in danger of becoming the mean party.
May 6, 2025 at 3:00 PM
Wes Streeting needs to urge the Labour Party to stop trying to be Reform-lite and to start delivering the change Labour promised and to stop taking money away from ordinary people.
