After 15 years, I've lost My Familiar. Although perhaps, not so much "lost", as set free to find the other side, where there are no rules or fences. Calvin-the-Challenger: Brilliant, beautiful, relentless, remarkable, restless, cunning, obstinate, and defiant to his last day. I am lost without him.

It's really hard to choose which of the atrocities to get all torn up over. You gotta give it up to those guys for a really vast buffet of horrors, served up relentlessly. I mean, it's ALL bad.

Routinely doing self-devised, in-the-field writerly tests with AI (Artificial Intelligence) — in the spirit of undermining it, duh — and my JAI (Julianne's Actual Intelligence) beats it 78% of the time. Currently unsure if that speaks to AI's knowledge limitations, or mine.
