What happens when you keep track of how hard you play every quarter?

Chart the steals, blocks, loose ball dives, charges taken and deflections. If you're getting 12 or more per quarter you tend to win.

16U Girls AAU team struggling to defend dribble drive.
191/884 or 21% of all points scored against.

Stats showed us a problem to fix.

Cause? Poke and reach defenders hunting steals, but not moving their feet. Bigs slow to move into help allowing the drive to get to the hoop.

Sr. Girls HS Basketball and taking a look at the impact of paint touches and ball reversals on PPP (points per possession).

46/81 possessions were 1/2 court
42/63 points scored came from 1/2 court action

Are we more efficient scorers if we touch paint or move the ball? How to study this?
