Between the CGI bloat, baffling, delirious plotting, poor treatment of legacy characters and heavy-handed hectoring, that finale did manage to somehow conjure one or two inventive, poignant moments. Overall it makes me long for the days of Eric Roberts chewing scenery in that timelord drip.
