I flew home for Christmas so inevitably I am doing system maintenance. This is the first machine I ever built for myself from scratch. It’s still rocking a 9800GT, a Phenom X4 965, and this very tired refurbished WDC 500 GB drive (which I am replacing today)

Not my project, but I’ve been shouting encouragement at the machine. I don’t get to help out on this stuff all the time, but I got a lot of joy in describing how jumper settings work and how to use an IDE cable etc. I think this era of computing is what I’m most excited about.
