There have been 8 announced spec script deals in the last 7 weeks including 2 seven-figure sales. Echoes of the halcyon spec script days of the late 80s and early-to-mid 90s. Is Hollywood warming to original stories? As screenwriter @unikunka.bsky.social always says: "Write your spec."
