People deserve to feel safe walking the streets, wherever they are. Part of that is about tackling crime, but part of that is about people having the honesty not to baselessly scaremonger – and there's a lot of people indulging in the latter.

All of which would need to be paid for either by raising taxes on working people elsewhere, or massively slashing the services they rely on.
