Who has the better video game sadness boogers?
November 12, 2025 at 2:33 PM
OTD in 2023, I finished LIKE A DRAGON GAIDEN: THE MAN WHO ERASED HIS NAME on Xbox. Like all games in the series, equal parts over the top drama and over the top nonsense. Also features gaming's 2nd best sadness boogers in a cinematic after Joseph Seed in Far Cry 5.

OTD in 2021, I finished Far Cry 6 on PS5. Great team, beautiful map, fun game. It has a revolutionary drag queen!

And the crazy thing is, they could still do another season with Britt just getting out of jail, and getting picked up by Hank and just pick it up again.

I loved writing the modern day but my favourite thing that I worked on in Assassin's Creed Rogue were the War Letter collectibles, where the Brotherhood and Templars converged on the colonies, tying together story threads and characters from AC3, Black Flag, Liberation and Unity.

On this day in 2024, I platinumed Astro's Playroom on PS5 because it was too cute, too much fun, and I couldn't stop.

On this day in 2015, I finished Far Cry 3 on PS3. I *think* I had just joined the FC5 team, and I was playing the games to get a feel for the series.

On this day in 2011, I platinumed Batman: Arkham Asylum. (I clearly had a lot of time on my hands) Othan Origins, which I love for selfish reasons, I think the first game is the best in the series.

Happy birthday to Assassin's Creed Rogue, released on this day in 2014. My first shipped title with Ubisoft!

QUESTION: What will Donald Trump do to Tony Stark if he doesn't call him back?
November 10, 2025 at 2:28 PM
On this day in 2019, I finished God of War on PS4. It was the first game in the franchise that I played and I enjoyed it so much that I did a full series play-through a few years back.

This completes my Black Panther by Priest collection, so I'm looking forward to an eventual re-read of that run from start to finish.

What's your favourite Black Panther storyline or run? Which run should I collect next?

Bought some comics yesterday from Comic Hunter in Montreal! X-Factor Epic Collection v1 (I fucking love Epic Collections!) Batman: No Man's Land v2 (NML would make an incredible video game!) and Black Panther by Christopher Priest v3, arguably my favourite run of the character.

On this day in 2012, I finished Uncharted: Golden Abyss on the PlayStation Vita. I wish old handheld games were also considered for remakes / remasters. I could live without the touch / motion controls, but I'm sure you could do something similar with the PS5 controllers. This was a fun game.
November 8, 2025 at 10:48 PM
On this day in 2022, I finished Gotham Knights on PS5. I think it's a fun game that, while not excusing some rough edges, ate a lot of undeserved shit. To me, the Arkham series is a love letter to cinematic Batman, and GK is a love letter to the comic book roots.

I took a detour to finish Yakuza Dead Souls over Halloween and now we're back to The Year of Final Fantasy with my all-time favourite entry, because it's the BEST Final Fantasy: FF6!
November 1, 2025 at 5:40 PM
On this day in 2015, I finished Assassin's Creed Syndicate on PS4. I usually find it really hard to play games I've worked on once they ship, because I've spent so long already immersed in those worlds, but I had to dive back into Victorian London ASAP to relive the great work from all my friends

I read PREDATOR: THE THETA SAGA by @edbrisson.bsky.social and a bunch of cool artists, with 3 stories that follow Theta, hell-bent on eradicating any and all Predators she can find after they kill her family. There's really fun worldbuilding bits that expand the universe and I hope we get more.

I read HEROES REBORN: THE RETURN, and it makes me wonder if this book will be one of the inspirations behind the inevitable MCU reboot with Franklin Richards as a magic reset button that can alter universes, especially with the interplay between him and Dr. Doom
November 1, 2025 at 4:52 PM
I read IRON MAN: HEROES REBORN and I thought it was much more fun that the Iron Man stuff that came before Onslaught. WildStorm was my favourite of the Image imprints so I loved seeing those artists go nuts on Marvel stuff.
November 1, 2025 at 4:46 PM
I read FANTASTIC FOUR: HEROES REBORN (even tho I've never read the X-Men Onslaught story that started all this) and the art is great (I'm a big Jim Lee / Brett Booth / WildStorm fan) and interesting to see an early attempt to do a totally new Absolute / Ultimate style "modern" reboot.
November 1, 2025 at 4:41 PM
I read IRON MAN EPIC COLLECTION: THE CROSSING which was basically a giant crossover that spun out of a giant crossover that leads into another giant crossover? There was A LOT going on and I struggled to follow it. Very 90s comics.
