It is also worth noting - since your government makes data driven decisions - the previous agreement did not keep up with inflation. And your current offer is also below inflation.
BCGEU has already fallen behind. Your offer is asking them to fall even further behind.

Going on the record defending why your government isn't offering a fair deal by inflating the previous deal by 5% isn't a good negotiation tactic.

DRAFT SEGMENT 009 Hon. David Eby: The member raised a couple of points that deserve to be addressed. First of all, the provinces. We had a much more generous agreement with the BCGEU than other provinces did. They're playing catch-up with their workers, with their current agreements. We had an 18 percent increase over the term of the contract, which was better than inflation over the period of time of record inflation I will note. When we had the resources and we're able to do it, we make sure that we're able to bring our workers along with us. The other piece about the size of the public service, I agree. We've got to slim down the administration within the public service. We've reduced full-time equivalents by more than 800 in just the last few months, and we're going to continue to do that work to get rid of the administrative costs, whether it's in the health authority or whether it's in core government. We're ensuring that we're doing that, but we're not going to impact the front-line services. We saw that when those guys, the Conservatives, were on this side of the House, and they cut those front-line services that people depended on. We're not going to do it. We're going to protect front-line services, and we're going to make sure that people are looked after.

An email from Netflix asking if I like John's show. There are three icons, thumbs down, thumbs up, and two thumbs up. Why aren't there two thumbs down? I dunno. I guess Netflix is fragile. Maybe time will tell. Anyway. It ends with a subtle threat of more emails if I rate things. And honestly, that doesn't fly with me. I was going to give the show two thumbs up. But I don't want to have to bother with rating an endless amount of shows in this exponential transaction of the more I like the more I get recommendations. Where does it end? I'd have to close my account, move cities, fake my own death, pretend to be a ghost for a while, benefit from the tax break and life insurance, fake a resurrection, and open a new Netflix account. No thank you.

So this squirrel is not doing good.
They've had this busted arm for about 3 weeks. It can't lift it and it drgas it so that it is raw.
Is there anything I can or should do for it?

It has been eating the fallen seeds we put out for birds and I toss it some walnuts when I see it.

The dehumidifier is running to get what I couldn't. And now I have a jump start on my spring cleaning.

So.... I did a fact check after the show.

When Trudeau was elected in 2015 the dollar was $0.7683. Today, according to the RBC exchange rate, it is $0.6884.

A drop of $0.08. Or about 10%.

Not 40%.

I made snowballs with my kid.
2 cups gram cracker crumbs
1 cup chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Mix until fully blended, then roll table spoon sized balls in sweetened coconut
Put in the freezer to harden.

Best of all, you can lick the bowl, spoon, and hands clean when you're done.
