Ultimately, no amount of posting, or networking, or personal branding is as important as working on the art itself. Which is not to say it's not valuable—by all means, grab that low-hanging fruit, and enjoy the fun parts!

But at the end of the day, you need people to love *the art*, not just you.

Zooniverse has a bunch of projects like this, and my wife loves them because they're a perfect way for someone like her—bedbound with ME/CFS—to volunteer a few minutes at a time in ways that are safe for her but have real impact.
