I’ve been drinking coffee since I was 8. We didn’t have a coffee maker. Everyone else drank tea. I drank instant coffee & loved it. Drank it non-stop.
Years later, my mom had half a cup, got wired & was like “you’ve been doing this every day?!?”
Coffee was only for special occasions after that.

And now the first sourdough of 2025! No idea about the hydration (maybe 75%?) and about 50% bread flour, 25% whole wheat, and 25% rye. Good crust. Decent crumb. Paired well with celery soup. Clearly I’m going to carb my way through the awfulness that is 2025…
