Honestly, since they published versions of Harry Potter and Discworld with more "grown up covers" in case you felt embarrassed on the train.

I'm local enough to the Montgomery (and yes there's probably people in Faversham who would be furious to lose our largest explosion in Kent record to Sheppey) that a primary school teacher used the Montgomery to introduce the concept of existational dread to a bunch of six year olds.
The last annual review concluded the SS Richard Montgomery was perfectly safe!
And as a demonstration of exactly how safe it is it also banned aircraft from flying anywhere near it in case, y'know, the wreck spontaneously makes itself a lot safer in a manner incompatible with continued aviation...

Can't figure out how to un-kill Bond? (Who was clearly on a new continuity last time anyway.) Set it in the late 50s. Done.

And yet everybody understood that Casino Royale was effectively the start of a new series.
I don't think that anyone is really going to struggle.
Since Casino Royale we've had multiple Batmans and Spider-mans, the audience will cope.

James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Trump said that the United States and Italy have been allies since the time of Ancient Rome. The translator's reaction is priceless!
He's using ancient Rome as a synonym for a long long time?

In the last month, the FBI has charged players from two different leagues for roles in sports-betting scandals.
Either legalized gambling is exposing corruption that’s always been there.
Or it’s creating it.
Either answer is terrible for sports.

Once again I'm gobsmacked at the number of people calling for the abolition of the BBC who have John Peel, Hitchhikers, Doctor Who, Alan Partridge or Blackadder avatars. I'm not even sure how they can have sufficient intelligence to remember that their feet go on the ground.

The World Of Blood Bowl RPG, with expansions covering the Olympics, cricket, field hockey and netball.
We can have a "World of Talisman" TTRPG, but not a Dark Future game?
Maybe a Dark Future game with a Chainsaw Warrior character class?
