This is a really excellent, well-argued piece from @jenniferthf.bsky.social on the unresolved "dualities" which plague English health policy - and how far we (still) are from any settled view on how the NHS should be run.

Given the proposals on patient feedback in the NHS 10 year plan for England, it is worth saying that NHS Scotland has used @careopinion.org.uk for over 10 years now.

How's it going? Here's an independent report from the Specialist Cancer Charities Group:

Lots of lovely patient feedback on @careopinion.org.uk recently for Somerset NHS FT.

Positive patient feedback leads to improved staff morale, better work + home relationships, reduced sick days + perhaps even reduced staff burnout. What's not to like?

Excited to see this new study of defensiveness to patient feedback + the impact on organisational learning, based on stories shared on @careopinion.org.uk. It's long + complex, so will need some digesting... 🤓

It takes a lot of different people to make healthcare safe and effective. They all matter.

So let's have patient feedback systems which reach further than just doctors + nurses.

It's been remarkable to see how vigorously RDASH has taken to online feedback from service users + carers. What is so encouraging is that they understand that feedback can improve services, lift morale + change culture too
