My daughter's Sonic army is back up after the carpet replacement
It's fall, so time to make some fall spice syrup. No pumpkin in this, it has all the warming spices and a mix of white and brown sugar to give it plenty of caramel notes. Toasted the spices for 30 seconds, bring to a boil, then simmer 45 minutes.

Well, the world is on fire, people can't agree, and I have chronic insomnia. But at least we will shortly have two new members of the family, courtesy the Wake County Animal Shelters.

My wife continues to annex the room I used to work from home in/guest bedroom as an auxiliary craft room. Finally moved the guest bed downstairs to get this room made up as a guest space. Yes, we have sheets, just haven't dragged them downstairs yet.
Blinds are on order, as well.
