That scene where time collapses and the blues guy plays and suddenly the juke joint is a disco is a block party... Goosebumps.

I was listening to Howlin’ Wolf & Elmore James for a week afterward. The cultural allegory (the moth-to-a-flame bloodsucking white people, the taking over of communal spaces!) took my breath away. The Jim Crow period detail was phenomenal, I thought. Dusk Till Dawn with extra bite, so to speak.

Racing In The Street, obvs. The saddest as the best.
