As the brother came to the end of the song, his voice faltered and a heavy silence grew. After a time, those who had gathered simply moved on, allowing him to grieve in private.

It was two days later before he was discovered dead alongside his sister, his hand around hers.

But this time the song was different. The words flowed out of him clothed in bittersweet tones and, though she had not sung for many long years, all who listened understood that the sister had been forever silenced.

Never again would their voices twin together in harmony.

For hours he sang, covering every song they had ever written until at last he came to their most famous song. It had been written when they were young; before they had even grown famous. They opened and closed every show with it, for it spoke of the hope, joy and love of life that was their message.

Until one day when they had grown very old, someone passing by the house they shared heard singing from within. A crowd soon gathered.

The brother's voice, once powerful, had grown soft yet the resonance remained and he was easy to hear as he cycled from one song to another.

Many tried to convince the brother to continue with music but he simply said no. From that day forward, his life was dedicated to the care of his sister. Nothing more.

He never complained, never expressed regret and never wavered. And he never sang again.

Some of the plot points, imo, are pretty rough; inconsistent and even actively silly ... but not in a way that feels good.

Also, plenty of leaving bad guys alive to mess stuff up later, which is a trope I despise.

But, again, I'm enjoying it. And the cliffhanger in episode 4 is pretty neat.

Ah, that makes sense. I haven't been out of the US for far too long.

At a hotel? I've never seen this before. How fancy is this hotel?

I'll be honest:

I couldn't disagree more. I loathe the shiny helmets and the ones that are a mismatched color to uniforms (like the Titans).

Got hit in head, took helmet off, served to recovery. I'd check him medically.
