Man kan skriva om klimatursäkten i ekonomiska/medicinska termer:

Man kan väl se det som en marknadsmekanism - företag som levererar usla produkter och behandlar sina kunder illa går till slut i konkurs. Något liknande har drabbat L och KD, och det är inte annat än förtjänt.

But Republicans on the State level could, then? Are there more overtly authoritarian things the Federal level might do? I’m no specialist so I don’t know what is realistic and what is alarmist. If candidates under charge can’t run for example, the temptation might be to charge them (with whatever)?

How likely do you think it is that Reps under threat will, as a consequence, manipulate the mid-terms (and next Presidential) as much as possible (voter ID, in-person voting, close polling stations, ban water handouts etc)? What sort of things should we look out for?

Ja och Kronprisessan Victoria (eller Cornelis Vreeswijk, eller Alice själv) skulle inte räknas som svensk. Då lämnar definitionen kanske något att önska 🙃. Matt Goodwin har tyvärr skämt ut sig med ganska jämna mellanrum de senaste åren, han verkar ha självradikaliserats rätt ordentligt.

KAN vi lita på att Teodorescu inte försöker bygga en jääääääättestoooor parlamentsbyggnad i Stockholm, precis som sin landsman Nicolae Ceausescu, om hon skulle få en maktposition i Sverige? Vad säger att hon inte övermannas av rumänsk stamlojalitet när det gäller? Va? Vavava?

Värt att också påpeka hur den undersökningen blivit utskrattad av alla utom fiskmåshögern i UK eftersom deras definition of White British också utesluter t.ex deras egen kung Charles III (Goodwin menar nämligen att man måste ha 2 vita, brittiskfödda föräldrar för att själv räknas)

As an EU citizen, I hope we would force them to pass local language tests to receive ILR, which we would then revoke regardless of whether they upheld their end of the bargain or not.

White guy here, as were most of my friends growing up - the only ones who had even the slightest Nazi curiosity were violent, untrustworthy psychos to begin with. It is not a normal thing.

I’m aware of the reasons 😬. I suppose they contribute a little to my sceptical view of him, but I do find him slightly overrated as a writer too, regardless. It’s the same formula again and again, isn’t it? I’ll give his grown-up stories a go though, I’ll confess to not having read them!

"The way of a serpent" - Torgny Lindgren. A 150-page package that packs a 1500-ton punch, told in Old Testament style prose, by one of Sweden's finest and a (now passed) member of The Swedish Academy. Probably not much known in English I fear but us Swedes adore it.
