I'm not an expert in anything intellectual like the politics of clothing or how poor urban planning has destroyed the third place. I have a BFA. All I can offer is my experience and how various policies, legislation, and cultural dynamics have affected my life and material conditions. 2/2

This is why I'm such a big advocate for #harmreduction policies and compassionate solutions. I want to prevent this from happening to other people. If you are currently suffering from addiction or someone you love is, I think the world of you. We can heal together.

Revision to this post. American Eugenics is not new, in fact, it's over a century old. I should have said "the next step of the American eugenics project is..." here's a good starting place to explore this topic. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugenic...

Have at it.

You think anyone cared when we were force sterilizing women & POC? Or when we were attempting to control our demographics through strict immigration laws? Or when we limited health care access to poor communities? We're still doing and promoting these things! This isn't new. Of course no one cares!

To stay on point though, do you agree that American eugenics has been around before 2020? Not wearing masks isn't some big indicator of a shift in attitude against "unfit" people, that attitude has been present in American society for decades. 2/2

Vaccines are proven to be highly effective at spreading COVID. And I said that masks are good to wear around vulnerable people and apparently "every part" of my reply is wrong? Okay then. 1/2

Yes. And I'm also up to date on my vax, pretty sure that's way more effective than masking. Masks are useful when you're recovering from illness or are in a facility with vulnerable people (hospital, nursing home), or you live with a vulnerable person but I do not.

I'm disabled & marginalized but I also have some privileges that cause blind spots in how I think about disability advocacy. My comment towards you is an attempt to correct my previous thinking. 2/2

Oh & I do not mask unless I am getting over a sickness. If I'm actively sick, I don't go out at all (I have the privilege of working from home). But I actually haven't been sick with anything, including COVID, in the last 5-6 years. 1/2

Yeah this was a day or two ago, and after I wrote that, I went into a deep internet rabbit hole on American eugenics and further educated myself.

#Eugenics has been present in American society and policy for the last century, but most people haven't cared because historically it's only affected marginalized people, #disabled folks, and the working class.

Yes, firefighters and teachers are extremely valuable members of our community and deserve a living wage and a roof over their head in the city they work in.

Unsurprising. "Scratch a liberal and a fascist bleeds."

We'll know how cooked we are if Senate actually goes through with the confirmations. 💔
