Fascinating. AI is being applied differently in China. It is used to help the blind, people with disabilities, seniors, cars, manufacturing etc.

Well....that's a first for me. I always resigned myself to the fact that my work will probably not have widespread appeal because it always involves advocating for some form of structural change. This is one of my more incremental works.

I wouldn't exactly bet on Gorsuch suddenly finding environmentalism. Likely his libertarian spirits are horrified at the possibility of a future admin using big government to blanket legislate on environment. His only reliable position is on Native land rights.

Reason #4351 to be thankful for living CA and not a red state or any other state. As a poor student in AZ I was paying WAY higher for electricity use in summer months (right when my stipend dried up) just to survive the brutal heat than the equivalent situation here.

There is just so much, so much wrong with this construction that I don't even know where to begin. One could write volumes disproving every word and combination of words in this by invoking a range of disciplines including cognitive psychology, social psychology, political science etc.

2 out of 3 papers submitted for review have come back with minor revisions needed. I'm glad the journal editor on one of those submitted papers is on my side.

Just found I have a profile on Scholar GPS. While it is not 100% up to date, I think the following is a fair representation of my research bent.

Man....the Yurok Tribe have the most sophisticated Indigenous fire science, resources and institutions I've ever come across. And I love how they've worded this. Very post colonial!

I have also used conferences at times to present work still in development, which in retrospect I cringe about, because the published version is much better, I promise!
