Preach.

The Germans have got to be furious. This is direct interference in their domestic politics. If the German vice-chancellor posted something similar about the US, their ambassador would have been summoned to the White House so fast he’d have rug burns on the soles of his feet.

More like hyper-reactionary, from what I’ve gleaned from your posts.

Completely agree. Due process is the cornerstone of the rule of law.

I was taught that, if we fail to protect the rights of even the most vile, we risk losing them for everyone. In my youth, Nazis marched through the streets of Skokie and we survived. We’ll survive a handful of gang members, too.

To be fair, you missed the point of his argument, as did those who blocked him.

I mean, be honest, has the genocide halted or even been abated since Krasnov took office?

This is insulting to Japanese Americans. They weren’t protesting, let alone rioting. They were forcibly taken from their homes simply due to their heritage.

Ed Martin is an unapologetic propagandist who will say anything to advance a political opinion, however untethered from the truth it may be.

According to ChatGPT:

“Under federal law, only Congress has the authority to establish legal public holidays for federal employees through legislation. These holidays are listed in Title 5 of the U.S. Code (§ 6103).”

So just another exercise in executive overreach by a tin pot dictator wannabe.

I was thinking Communist Chinese, but yeah.

The flip side is to realize that, at this rate, the Administration is on track to deport ~500K by the end of the year, or a total of 2M when his term ends. While tragically obscene in its own right, it falls far short of the 10M he promised.

Yet again, we learn just how bad he is at simple math.

In 1215, serfs still had no rights. Magna Carta only protected the top 0.1%.

IOW, MAGA has no clue that none of this is for their benefit.

The message is that the Reich will brook no dissent.

The lesson is to protest harder.

Good Trouble wins again.

I want to be in the counter-protest.

Somebody with more AI talent than I needs to do a Chucky and Bride of Chucky version of this.

You say that as if you’re surprised, Pat 😉.

Moran’s expression is priceless.

Simple math: fewer flights, fewer accidents…

… except nothing about this Administration is simple (except their singular stupidity). Will anyone be surprised if collisions and near-misses increase regardless?

I ask because tech, a high-paying sector, seems to be in a slump with long layoffs and downward pressure on salaries. If much lower-paying sectors are seeing healthy increases, the net to the economy in real dollars may still be flat or even negative, resulting in lower total consumer spending.
