Theatre guy, comics guy, dog and cat guy. He/him.
If you love Shakespeare and/or create art regularly you'll love it (although William isn't the lead role, it's of course about Anne, though she's called Agnes in the movie).

There is no context that excuses death threats. I haven't read the comic (not an X-Men fan) but I'm willing to bet that the criticism is valid. But once there are death threats then the argument is no longer valid.

I don't think anyone is dismissing legitimate criticism as death threats. The issue is the actual death threats, which also exist. Come on man.

I've actually already got Mister Miracle on my schedule for Wednesday's class! It's one of my favorites.

Diverse creators and/or non-Big-Two titles a plus, but not required. Oh and it has to be something awesome.

Some guidelines: I need something pretty new, but still out long enough that there's a collection of a few issues available t read on Hoopla. I'd prefer something that isn't going to be laden with continuity and backstory, so my casual readers won't be lost.

I agree with all of this (the whole thread not just this post) except for one thing: I don't think Netanyahu's help was unintentional, unfortunately.

Man I love that movie but two nights in a row seems excessive

There was a time when I would have preferred the Ordway homage, but I find in my old age I actually like the original better...

It's also worth noting that Adams refused chemotherapy and radiation when he first got his diagnosis.

I teach a class on the history of superheroes and I cover it briefly because of how it led to the comics code and how that changed superhero comics, but because they aren't actually superhero comics we don't read any of them for coursework.
