Just a Jaf. Sometimes a librarian. Mostly tired. Crafty, in the good way. Trans women are women, trans men are men, trans rights are human rights. Kindness is free. Scotlandshire. She/her.
Nicely done by HES.

Veru much enjoying this person on LinkedIn who's asking Historic Environment Scotland if Mons Meg cannon will be used for defence against intruders. The 572 year old cannon they just posted a video about conserving. The cannon whose barrel burst and took it out of action in 1680.

It's a complete nightmare. Reddit thread on it here: www.reddit.com/r/MicrosoftW...

This is what I get on Mums (I also get it at work). Her version is Microsoft Word 2021,.

Looks like Casanova was unlucky in finding a lover for his letter from his time as a librarian at Dux Castle, so you have another chance to buy it at auction.

14 years ago I put the key of my old flat through the door and picked up the keys to my new house.

It's a very easy move-in date to remember: 11/11/11 😂

They can probably reduce the threat by buying less from the website.

I'd very much like to know where this image originated, as it seems the bottle has been enhanced with paint on the letters and it's become accepted as 'exactly like the one in the case', but is it?

I saw one of those Joy-free Grey Ball Pits being purchased yesterday.

The poor kid was having a tantrum too.

Can't blame them - they were probably overwhelmed by all the colour they were being exposed to in the outside world.

Have you been looking to gather a collection of nightmarish seamen?

Dolls, that is.

Look no more!

He's done an excellent job.

He also supervised us finally remounting the front door light which has been a bit wonky for a year and a half, and sorting through bedding and duvets, and putting stuff up in the loft, so he is clearly utterly exhausted now.

Shiny! Gonna keep working my way over the curve. Also enjoying that it's simultaneously polishing the stone I'm using.

Burnishing is fun!
November 7, 2025 at 3:08 PM
For reference, it started off looking something like this (I didn't take a photo at the start but it was a similar axed out blank)
November 7, 2025 at 2:36 PM
Spent a d hour and a half to tidy this up.

Now gonna try out burnishing.

Me: I need to save my energy so I can recover from this virus.

Also me: I should empty the cupboard under the stairs and wash the floor before reorganising it.
