My name is Jan, and I have many beloved OCs, but I post the most about my stories Murder Fabrication (fangan style) and Newwell City. I'm a writer first and foremost, but I also LOVE to work a song and/or MV reference into a drawing...

Not a literal WIP, but an allusion to my WIP... that I just posted to tumblr, about writing #MurderFabrication, and I genuinely felt compelled to share.
aseriesofunfortunatejan on tumblr, 29 minutes ago: It feels really weird whenever I reference something from Chapter 1 (or more importantly, finally unload one Chekhov's gun from Chapter 1), because I know that to Neo, and to a potential new reader, this stuff just happened. Sure, Murder Fabrication is pretty long, but an active new reader would still have read Chapter 1 rather recently. But to me, it's been years. It's this weird time capsule. I'm writing about something that simultaneously happened in 2018, and... what, 2 or 3 weeks ago? (I need to re-count my days.) It genuinely feels weird. I can tell both timeframes co-exist in my brain. Spoilers: I ended up tweaking it a tiny bit.
There's a lot (read: YEARS of writing) of buildup to this, so for as silly as it looks, it made me pretty emotional to write out.
Like flashes in my mind, I picture scene after scene Of steaks and fries. A memorable dish of gratin and chicken. A giant, beautifully crafted cake. Vegetarian options. Matcha pancakes with coloured glaze to match. Chocolate mousse. The scent of hot cocoa. An egg sandwich. A feast.
