I finally got photos of the Halloween double knit 🧶 scarf I finished last week! You can see me wearing it in the photos, and I turned it around in the 2nd to show the negative side. Orange is not the best match to the blue coat, but being broke, it's the one coat I have.

I had to tape my working copies together to make sure I can follow the backstitch and just now did it hit me how much work I put into this. It felt simple because it is greyscale and not having many colours tricked my brain.
Also I got the kit's name wrong, it's Moon Sonata. 🧶 #crossstitch

I thought about it a few times, but life and my mental health stopped me from looking it up. This year I managed to find it even though I forgot the title and the author. Some keyword searches led me to the Otherworld series by Tad Williams and I recognized the cover. I'm so excited! Here we go.

Back to this beauty after taking a break from cross stitching. It's a Zolotoe Runo kit. I could finish it this month if I could just stick to working on this and nothing else.

Once again, I am troubled by not having enough blocking boards to pin the whole shawl in one go. This was once called a "first world problem".

May was a bit hectic but now I am caught up on my 🧶 temperature snake progress. We already hit 35°C this month. Summer is coming.

February was surprisingly normal and evenly cold. Nice change after 17ºC in January, but now I'm over it, and ready for some spring warmth.

Here's what's crazy. I grew up under socialist dictatorship, East of the Iron Curtain. Censorship was a normal part of our lives. It's existence was sold to us as something positive that exists for our protection. And the way we learned to say the unspeakable things was just like this.

Finally found the spoons to dye my roots. I used ashy blonde, and spread it on the whole length and am quite happy with the results.

I. Frikken. DID IT! I finished her, finally! The Craft 🧶 is ready! The border was done with a smaller hook and took ages and my hand hurt for two whole days after, but it's DONE.
