there's so many examples of this, but the examples on the n64 are the most noticeable and cool to me.

the game also still just... doesn't feel right.

they improved the controls, they added toggles for auto lock on AND a setting for "quick" controls, which disables a few of the stupid throwing limitations

...but it still feels wrong. still feels bad. i still push the A button and the game says no

maybe later areas are better, i played area 1 it shouldn't really be challenging anyway

but Damn. oatchi charge onto bulborb still KOs without so much as a scuffle. i don't think the rest of the game will be improved as long as that's true unfortunately

i can only hope that the difficulty changes the enemy placement to where they can actually be a threat instead of a minor inconvenience but i'm not holding my breath

the new difficulty's main advertised feature *is* the lowered max pikmin cap, so it's already off to a bad start.

but it also... doubles enemy defense i think????

i need to throw 2 pikmin onto a dwarf bulborb to KO it this is terrifying and very interesting

lowered pikmin caps always sucks. flarlic isn't fun in base 4, nor is ultra-spicy mode in 3. having less pikmin means less options, less flexibility, less strategy.

you can't multitask with 20 pikmin. you can barely multitask with 50. 60 is not enough for fun gameplay in my eyes.
