Hopefully it was just a one-off and they realized there's no good reason for that. Definitely agree some work on routes would be awesome! The last stretch is definitely always the most dicey part. Now feels like a great time for it as well, with the MLK bridge reopening!

I actually wasn't biking yesterday but I was walking up that way when a couple riding an e-bike was told by two officers they had to either continue straight down Chapel or turn around. We all asked why but they didn't give an answer. They turned around and went back to Ted Turner to come down MLK

The premise is correct, we need equitable access to people-focused places like the Beltline.

The solution is to build more of them, everywhere.

What's the bike rack situation on the XE60? I don't see one on the front, are they meant to be brought inside or will a rack be added before going into service? I hope bikes weren't overlooked on MARTA's first rapid transit line to have a direct-ish Beltline connection.

The system already has ridership in the tens of millions annually, Alex is just saying these will continue to do that. These new trains will improve reliability, and will offer a number of quality of life improvements including chargers, bike racks, more space for luggage, wheelchairs, strollers

Whenever I'm riding back across Moreland on the Trolley Line Trail just to do a whole loop down the Beltline and back up Glenwood, that bridge calls out like a Siren. Why does it have to be so much shorter but also so terrifying 😭
