“This is the warmest start to November on record, with data for this type of statistic going back to around 1930” www.metoffice.gov.uk/blog/2025/wh...
A look back at November's historical weather records
November is a month of transition in the UK, as autumn gives way to winter. It’s a time when we frequently see variable weather types across the country.

I've put any sales from my prints toward lessons with some of my favourite artists and materials to keep progressing 💞 I've just started a four week remote course to focus on abstraction and mark making. Here are a couple of first attempts.

The majority of Britons think important places for nature should have stronger protections.

Only 2% think protections should be weakened... yet that’s where ministers keep pushing.

It’s #FightFlyTipping fortnight! We are all on the front line, always check for a rubbish removal licence, check it’s valid and get that receipt.
#FightFlyTipping Fortnight aims to protect the places we love and stop unlicensed traders dumping our rubbish, ruining neighbourhoods & costing public services.

Take 3 steps:

1. Ask for their licence

2️. Check it’s valid

3️. Get a receipt

I hadn't seen the youngest of two roe deer fawns for a while and I just found out sadly it had died in a corner. It didn't look trapped or injured but clearly it couldn't jump the fence of the field yet. Perhaps it slipped or did get trapped momentarily. Filled with sadness for its short life.

BBC News has a broken impartiality framework that results in promotion of far-right parties and views, inflating their popularity. Reply to my complaint about "Why one small town with very little immigration turned to Reform UK" promoted to 20m people because immigration was "probably" a reason(!)

Pulmonaria is my favourite starter perennial if you are new to dividing plants. It's incredibly forgiving and an early source of nectar for bees (UK/Ireland).

This is such a great demonstration that most plants are quite hardy and one doesn't have to be too precious or careful. I think many folks are unsuccessful at #gardening because they're afraid. Just get in there and get your hands dirty. See what works, learn from what doesn't.

Practice I did in my lesson yesterday. I want to revisit this view when I’m a bit further along with certain techniques but I’m pleased with how it came out in the end. It’s part of a future series of paintings I’m saving up in the back of my mind.
