“It’s coming even before cuts to Medicaid in President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act take effect and the potential expiration of Obamacare subsidies at year’s end. Charities are warning of exploding medical debt and lower survival rates for diseases like cancer if Congress doesn’t act.”
Americans are buckling under medical bills. It could get worse.
Charities that help people pay for care say demand is way up. That’s before scheduled Medicaid and Obamacare cuts take effect.

“Some 76% of voters view the economy negatively. That’s worse than the 70% who said the same at the end of former President Biden’s term.

“Large numbers, overall and among Republicans, say their costs for groceries, utilities, healthcare and housing have gone up this year.”
Fox News Poll: Voters say White House is doing more harm than good on economy
Trump's approval hits new lows as 76% view economy negatively in the latest Fox News poll. Rising costs for groceries, utilities spark voter dissatisfaction nationwide.

The second season of Peacemaker improved on the first in almost every conceivable way. I was absolutely blown away, and it might be some of my favorite television I’ve ever seen.

I liked the new Superman movie, but James Gunn’s *TV* work for DC has left me speechless.

Ah, so Trump and the GOP are desperately trying to avoid releasing the information because Mr. Trump is such a modest man, he doesn't want to glorify his heroic efforts as an FBI informant.
Yeah this is real. Mike Johnson said Trump was an FBI informant in the Epstein case.

Once again we are here in the dead of night, to debate and vote on Republicans’ bill that takes food and health care from those who need them to shower tax cuts on billionaires.

Given a short time to talk, I used it to cast our moral choice in terms my Republican colleagues in the room would hear.

“Health care is a basic right in Brazil, enshrined in the constitution. Every one of its 215 million citizens — in addition to 2 million foreign residents — is entitled to free care in what has become the world’s largest public health system.”
I got an ambulance ride, CT scan and ER care in Brazil. My bill: $0.
As Washington battles over access to health care, a Post journalist’s experience at a public hospital in Brazil shone light on a fundamentally different system.
