There’s no such thing as a “free market.”

It is designed.

It either advances public purposes or it serves the monied interests.

The U.N. is useless while veto powers exist; I wonder what it would take for this to change. Japanese philosopher Kojin Karatani wrote that problems like climate change & immigration might force stronger global association, becomes necessary for all class interests.

Amid a mountain of bad news, particularly since election night, I'm happy to see that the U.S. DOES in fact still do antitrust sometimes, particularly concerning such a significant company. For Republicans mad about inflation: maybe substitute tariffs for antitrust!
