I'm unsure if this is a Guardian editorial policy but I find it odd in a piece on Trump's knee-jerk misogyny in the face of ongoing Epstein pressure that they have chosen not to name the two women reporters he insulted.

We know it was Catherine Lucey from Bloomberg and ABC's Mary Bruce. 1/2

What tolerance? Genuine question - what university in this country is protecting staff who "promote antisemitic rhetoric or harassment of Jewish students"?

In academia, we're expected to critically engage with available research, or to conduct our own, in order to substantiate an argument.

This is a deeply serious accusation that is not at all self-evident, and I would expect the ASECA to be held to similar standards.

didn’t expect to get a little weepy in the Tate Modern. a beautiful collection of quilts honouring 384 people who died from HIV/AIDS.

I’m always struck by how sweet and moving the messages stitched in by friends and family (chosen or otherwise). We live on in the memories of others.

A tricky part of these early weeks of the Trump regime is that there will be so many headlines exactly as horrible as this that it will be difficult to maintain a grasp on how awful this is for individual people. It will require real skill to centre the suffering of people over knee-jerk outrage

Lovely to see some very familiar faces at the #ISA2024 @OUPAcademic’s stall all the way in San Francisco.

Looks like a bestseller to me!

Putting on my big academic pants (MC Hammer style) to discuss legacies of queer discrimination in contemporary diplomacy this morning. What a delight! And made some new friends along the way. #ISA2024
