So not only is Bari Weiss about to head CBS News despite not having any newsroom experience, she is also going to juggle that responsibility while still remaining EIC and CEO of The Free Press.

The Guardian is launching its first ever major US brand campaign amid a new round of investment in its US operation.

Ads will be running in NYC's subway, on billboards in Manhattan, and on Vox Media podcasts.

Seems like a missed opportunity to promote the brand beyond the New York market.

I’m not sure it qualifies as “spirited debate” when one person states a fact and the other person just lies.

I hate A/B tested headlines.

On NYT, the homepage says Trump “plays reality TV host” at his cabinet meeting. Click the article and you get a different headline.

Why isn’t there confidence in what the story is? And why isn’t it: Trump forces cabinet to compliment him in dictatorial media spectacle?

I was terrified of Peeves in EA’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer Stone game on PC.

Nightmare fuel.

Shocking naïveté for a media executive in 2025.

Top story on NYT has a headline and description that launders Trump’s position on what is an obvious power grab (not to mention his general lack of coherence at yesterday’s meandering press conference).

No mention of DC’s actual crime rate until the 6th paragraph.

What are we even doing here?

And a few more from Arcachon and the Dune of Pilat, which is absolutely stunning.

Recently went to Bordeaux and since I stopped posting on Instagram I don't have as much to do with the pictures, so here's a few I'm proud of. All on the X100F.

It is 2001. A Republican president is passing a tax bill that benefits only the wealthy and is warmongering in the Middle East.

Remarkable how Trump’s communication tactics have spread throughout the entire right-wing ecosystem.

@profgalloway.com at Cannes Lions: “Republicans buy football teams, Democrats buy newspapers.”

Galloway, Candace Parker and A-Rod agreed: one of the best investments for American business leaders going forward are women’s sport teams.

I love my Pen F (gothic). My favorite part of how it was engineered is the sideways mirror. Also diptychs. Diptychs are so fun.

Over the past six years, original IP TV shows have fallen from half (48%) of new scripted TV commissions to less than one-third (31%).

What are we getting a lot more of instead? Literary adaptations.
