When a politician says: we’ll deregulate health insurance and send you a “freedom account” check, ask: freedom to buy what? If insurers don’t offer real policies or can cherry-pick only healthy people, that money is a coupon for a store that’s not open.

When is this storyline with George going to end and him get a job at Mulligan's farm? It'll be the reflection of Ed's experience with Oliver. Ambridge is so much better without all the angst. I'm happy with drama based on whether the grain dryer is working or not.

I've been a fan of the BBC #ReithLectures all my life. 2025’s title is Moral Revolution, how small, committed groups can spark big moral change, from abolishing slavery to tackling today’s crises of inequality, tech power & AI risk, & what our responsibility is now.

Are people in Ambridge not supposed to have platonic relationships with people of the opposite sex?

Today as part of my carer responsibilities I'll be phoning the garage to find out why my partner's hazard lights keep going off. (That's on her car, she doesn't have hazard lights.) I suspect the switch but it could be a sensor. I think we've ruled out the alarm.

Today I will mostly be decorating, specifically sanding skirting boards and door frames. Not so much caring responsibilities as part of the whole domestic bliss thing. (Hopefully we'll be doing it together.)

Today my responsibility as carer for my partner mostly involves me taking her to her driving assessment. If we can get her back on the road it will change so much, personal freedom, mental health, so much is impacted by a restriction such as this, and all due to a ridiculous administrative mix-up.

Today my responsibility as carer for my partner mostly involves me making a fabulous roast dinner.

George is going to drive Amber away and he's going to go out of control, something dramatic on Christmas Day.

Is George going to get a job helping out at Meadow Farm? Anyone want to point this out? It's a clear repeat of Ed and Oliver twenty years ago.

Isn't it about time, in the modern world of mental health awareness, that we stopped using the phrase, 'thrive under pressure'? Or is that now considered woke and were going to go backwards on that too?

I've lost my reading glasses, the ones on the cord around my neck so I can't lose them. I'm having to wear my spare ones that don't have a cord and therefore risk being put down and lost.

Is this story about Brian, Alice, Rory, and Adam a retelling of King Lear? I don't really know Shakespeare but are there parallels?

Unexpected rabbit hole today is discovering that "Phwoar!" was first recorded by the dictionary in 1976, and 1972's Carry On Matron may be its first film appearance.

I thought I'd found an earlier 60s TV use, but it seems "Phwoar!" is firmly a 70s phenomenon.
