It's so frustrating when the customer forgets their credentials or the key is not saved to their account, watching them lose valuable data to encryption they didn't even ask for.
Microsoft has to make BitLocker optional, clearly explain the implications of it, and let people see their key anytime

Asking people for their Microsoft account credentials to log in to their account and see if the decryption key is saved there is the worst part. What if their account gets compromised in the future somehow? Sure we could just ask them to check it themselves, but most people don't even know how to

But if game key cards will become the future of physical games then might as well go all digital because at that point it's just pointless contamination

Physical games are also susceptible to bit rot since they rely on flash memory (looking at you 3DS Pokemon).

Even then I think owning something tangible in addition to the digital content itself is nice, gives you a deeper sense of ownership
