One point not made, as far as I know, is that the Smith govt has invoked the notwithstanding clause, it said, to limit taxpayer exposure in the teacher's strike and the AIMco fiasco.
But yet the UCP want to spend billions of taxpayer dollars to clean up wells that the oil industry abandoned.

🙏🏾I worry too. I'm an engineer because of École Polytechnique and December 6. I was 16 years old on that day, the day a murderer walked into an engineering class saying he hated women & killed our brightest and best in cold blood.
