FWIW UK parties (including YP) are the blueprint for that.

You can't expect to share every opinion with a party, but if any single opinion is held by zero parties, it's quite alienating to those who hold it.

Well, it's better than "the system is good because we know no one wants to change it"

Remembering how when Cuomo was asked what he wanted the newspapers to say a year into being mayor, and he basically answered "Everything is doing better and people are happy"

Comes off well to a very particular type of person.

I am truly such a lesbian but in what world is Phoebe Dynevor hotter than Rege-Jean Page? Even I can tell that man being handsome is practically the reason the show exists.

Oh OK this makes a lot more sense now that I know Will Stancil isn't the creator of the show

AI ass review
November 27, 2025 at 3:42 AM
I guess the other thing I'm left thinking about is the difference between AI slop and human slop. A weird AI YouTube clip is clearly less interesting than a person going out of their way to record or animate it, but what separates something like Wycaro from asking GPT to write space pirate smut?

AI art is always found art - it is the interplay between the finder, the art piece, and circumstances beyond either's control; and similarly people get irked when it's marketed as something equivalent to a show of technical skill. Plus unlike found art the objects it finds were already art.
November 26, 2025 at 6:12 PM
Meanwhile communication is so based in an assumption of intent that AI in language based and artistic fields turns something human into a logical game to be solved.

People use AI to write emails because they don't see professional emails as a form of human communication, it's a game.

AI has sadly done nothing to win the critics over. Just fawning over investment from the public and private sectors, and increased bewilderment on how badly it's being used.

And the AI psychosis moral panic continues, with evidence currently on its side.

Gen AI is doing pretty well but if the sentiment against it balloons to a certain point, it could be wielded politically. Plenty of things that are popular have had governments crack down on them, for better or worse.

Well, what if it isn’t the public who have gone apeshit? What if it isn’t tens of millions of people all over the world, and it’s instead these tiny elite cliques of professionals who all know each other personally, refusing to accept the reality of the world they made? Doesn’t that seem more likely
