(and I’m saying that as someone who got 100% on the vocab portion of my standardized test. plain language is more accessible, making something beautiful in plainer words is a better skill than w/ big words just imho!)

i understand the feelings but yeah there’s a reason why we refer in the US to rly flowery language as “SAT words” sometimes, they can be so uncommon in common vernacular they’re used on standardized tests and then ppl immediately forget abt them lol
