I remember when #healthcare meant caring for the patient's health and well being.
This meme says "the evolution of medicine" and shows the Caduceus evolve into a US dollar sign, where the snakes morph into the S part and staph of the symbol. This meme represents how: Medicine originally started as healthcare, where providers cared for the health of the patient. Now, medicine has turned into a profit making business where providers care for their bank account balance which is dictated by health insurance companies and political lobbyists. The universally recognized symbol of medicine is the Rod of Asclepius, a symbol displaying a rod with a snake entwined around the outside in a downward-spiral shape, is associated with medicine and health care services. Here in the USA a similar and related symbol called the Caduceus is frequently used to represent medicine, doctors, and nursing. The Caduceus is one of the oldest symbols in the medical field and has origins in ancient Greek and Roman mythology. In the myth, Mercury, the god of merchants, thieves, and outlaws, threw a staff between two snakes to stop a fight. In healthcare, the caduceus represents the role of medical personnel as communicators, mediators, and facilitators of healing and care. The Caduceus is also the official crest of the United States Medical Corps, Navy Pharmacy Division, World Health Organization, and the Public Health Service.

Learn the weather of the new town you've recently moved to before planting! Lost all of my spaghetti #squash due to freezing temps.

(Plant bags and covers have now been unpacked and are ready for everything that did survive.)
