I got my hair did.

(It's ridiculous how much effort things take after a hospitalization. I'm trying hard to let myself feel comparably proud of the accomplishment.)

I'm deaf and I *hate* jump-scares. People are constantly just appearing. The only way to avoid the startle is to stay awake.
So, a nap at home soon. And my own TPN; hospital food has a bad rep, and even the IV nutrition is sub-par.

I'm escaping the hospital (I had a clot on my PICC line).

This is a bad thing when you're waiting on a procedure or pain meds or that sort of thing, but it's fabulous when you sleep for a bit.

I just spent a week in Beverly Hospital recovering from the infection I got from the other place (yeah, "I went to Salem Hospital and all I got was this stupid sepsis").
By "recovering" I mean "moping and swearing a lot."

Silly me, I'd almost thought I could stop constantly posting about #gastroparesis last month. Things really seemed to be improving.
Instead I got sent to the ER for fluids and IV meds, and they've decided to admit me. I have no idea what caused it (no surgery, no diabetes).
So frustrating.

Because #gastroparesis isn't fun enough at baseline, the PICC line can malfunction such that I'm at heightened risk for cardiac problems.
The first nurse they sent to try and fix my PICC line asked me how to fix it because she'd never been trained, so now I'm waiting for Nurse #2.
Today is stupid.

When I suggest people not visit Salem in October, it's not me being a curmudgeon. It doesn't much impact me.
It's because YOU will have a crappier time of you don't extensively plan ahead, including sleeping elsewhere and taking public transportation.

They're increasing my TPN (IV nutrition) and other meds, which are sedating so either I'll feel less nauseous or I'll sleep it off. I've reached a point where this seems reasonable.
