On this day 26 years ago, demonstrators blockaded and shut down the summit of the World Trade Organization in Seattle—demonstrating the power of direct action and horizontal, decentralized organizing.

Today, as federal mercenaries attack our communities, we need this reference point more than ever.
Epilogue on the Movement against Capitalist Globalization
22 years after the victory against the World Trade Organization in Seattle, what can we learn from the networks that gave rise to that movement?

Happy #N30! This is the 26th anniversary of the mass direct action that shut down the World Trade Organization Ministerial in Seattle. If you want to learn more about what we did and how we did it, I recommend listening to this excellent two-part series from @margaret.bsky.social.

Hi, I live paycheck to paycheck & am the author of two published books. Don't pirate them. There are many ways to enjoy them free like by using your library. Revenue from them comes to me, a real person who needs them & committedly distributes mutual aid.

The thing that can bring a pie down is too much sweetness. I have old teeth, and they're out of warranty.

With the said... some black coffee cuts a lot of sweetness and makes many of things more tolerable

Your Thanksgiving gravy tastes better when you use union mushrooms. Let's give a huge thanks to workers like "Adan" who harvest mushrooms for Monterey Mushrooms under a UFW contract. On an average day, he picks 240-280 of the blue baskets you see in this vid. #WeFeedYou

Attempts to thwart ICE are absolutely acts of protest—they are actions with a material objective that make a coherent political statement, which sets them apart from many protests, I know. But they are acts of protest, plain and simple.

Stranger In A Strange Land absolutely primed me for non-monogamy. And, I spent a long time basically meditating at bedtime because of the mind/body stuff. I should take that up again.

Redwall's anarcho-communist shrews also feel very relevant.
