Canadians looked at the shitshow down south and came to our senses at the last minute, rejecting Poilievre, the Trumpist far-right stooge for fossil fuel interests.

Fuckers got us anyway by slipping in Carney—a Reaganite far-right stooge for fossil fuel interests—at the head of the "Liberal" party.

I managed to see Doughty solo but never Soul Coughing. If I hadn't been overseas during the recent tour I'd have corrected the oversight. Maybe my favorite band, definitely my pick for the most unique and original act of last few decades of the 20th century.

If it requires validating blatantly racist Texas gerrymandering that favors Republicans while blocking gerrymandering in California that favors Democrats, the far-right extremists on Roberts Court will do that, and openly make up whatever bullshit rationale they can be bothered to come up with.

You do not need an architecture or infrastructure that supports 100,000 users until you have 100,000 users. You do need an incremental-friendly architecture--one that can evolve as it scales. Eminently doable, but it’s a learned skill.

If you have 100 customers, for example, you probably don’t need a database—a flat file with JSON in it will do. You almost certainly don’t need that slick UI (you need a good UX, but you can often get that with a very simple UI).
