Hi! I'm Itzu!

I'm an indie game developer and former mechanical engineer. I also sometimes write stories!

I have three characters but the main one is Itzu. Attached is his ref sheet (My other characters are Sura the secretary-bird-taur and Warranty Void the undead protogen)
A reference sheet for the Tak (scaly alien) Flint "Itzu" the Tak. He looks like a bipedal dragon-pangolin, with large bronze scales on his back and softer tan scales underneath. his eyes are green with slightly reddish sclera. He has two horns that point backwards from his head like the two prongs on a hammer. Below the ref is some information on the character: HEIGHT: 7'4" (2.27m) SPECIES: TAK AGE: unknown, around 25-35 OCCUPATION: Belligerent Vagrant Gender: X There is also a paragraph of text alongside: "Itzu is an oddity, even among his fellow Tak. He is paranoid and delusional, destructive and impulsive. He distrusts society as a rule, and believes any form of control, from policing to language, to be the greatest sin. He lives on the streets of the first Tak empire, Ortemat, where he harasses passersby he judges to be deserving of his attention-- generally merchants, oligarchs, priests, or guards. His arguments are firey, passionate, but oftentimes irrational and difficult to follow. Despite appearance and behavior, Itzu is tragically intelligent, but broken by a traumatic past and his undiagnosed severe mental illness. He's also not bad with a spear and quick to escape trouble." The second picture is an expression sheet for Itzu. Expressions include happy, suspicious, angry, smug, and hungry (where he's eating a burger) There are two paragraphs of text. The first one is as follows: "Due to contrivance, Itzu ends up in a wide variety of settings and realities. His incredibly reactive personality means that his behavior changes drastically based on where in the universe he is. In a D&D campaign, for example, he might be an antihero attempting to play both sides in order to slay the god he ostensibly worships. In a capitalist space setting, he might be a space pirate and terrorist. What Itzu desires above all else is control over his own life. The second paragraph is as follows: "Diet: Itzu is on a personal mission to taste everything at least once. Not just food. With his metal beak and impossibly robust stomach he's gone through an alarming amount of his list, including many things most species consider toxic or impractical. He enjoys exotic tastes and seeks out new experiences where he can. His favorites, however, tend to return to the basics: Fat, greasy foods or raw meat, although he also enjoys soft metals and earthy, peaty flavors."

skin fungus update: I've been prescribed 2 creams, a shampoo, and an ointment. I'm to use these twice a day. The creams are vaseline-based and miserably slimy. it sucks so bad. I hope it works because so far nothing has

Day 315: I swear to god, I've never seen or heard of a quoll before it went on this list. It just sounds like such a small rodent, doesn't it?
10/10 job naming this one, zoologists. You fuckin' did it.

I actually don't even know what part of the animal kingdom this one is from... maybe a rodent of some sort? You know the drill, let's draw it with no reference:" Below the first captions is a drawing of a small rodent that resembles a small chinchilla mixed with a chipmunk, with a sort of long, shitty tail, and little mouse claws. Panel 2 starts with another caption, which is in a caption box that begins with clean, angular lines on the left side and quickly devolves to jagged edges at the right side of the caption as I lose my mind mid-phrase. The caption reads "Now to look up a reference oh MY GOD, I NAILED IT!!!" Beneath that caption is a drawing of a quoll, which really is a small rodent. Cursive captions written around the drawing say "They did such a good job of naming this one, y'all. Cute little deer spots on its back. It even has the shitty little tail I expected. The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

I mean, we all knew The Game Awards is basically two E3 presentations wearing a trenchcoat, and Geoff Keighley an empty, light, flaky Kojima Productions-branded phyllo dough shell of a man. But god damn.

I am once again begging y'all to elevate the DICE and BAFTA game awards above this shit.
