The attack on this family was caught on film, but the footage might as well have been erased for all the police care. Appalling!

We must be the voices of the disappeared, the persecuted, the detained and all others targeted by the current presidential administration.
Two photos that should deeply disturb you. A thread. 🧵

The first photo is of a young Venezuelan named Andrys—a 23-year-old gay makeup artist who was disappeared by the Trump administration, recently identified publicly for the first time.

Freedom of expression is a defining characteristic of this country. Enshrined in the Constitution, only the people have the power to remove its protections.
From deporting protesters to punishing law firms, Trump is wielding government power to silence dissent. But the First Amendment isn’t just for popular speech—it protects all of us, or it protects no one. Jen Rubin explains.

In 1949 the US military held its first Aeriel Gunnery Competition, later known as "Top Gun."

The best of the best competed in dogfighting and other skills. The team that won, was the 332nd: The Tuskegee airmen.

So they refused to announce a winner🤡
