Yeah I know but my point is more that you don’t need to pick a side in a battle of crumbling empires. Maybe rather just point to how well China is doing?

I am blessed enough to not be an American. But would take a look at the situation in especially rural parts of Russia because it’s bad. For example there are a few towns that are literally run by a single company and if I remember correctly one didn’t even have a working road to leave.

1. What is to the left of literal communism?
2. Why instead of defending an oligarchy would you not use modern Russia as an example of how going from socialism to capitalism results in extreme poverty and the collapse of the 2 largest power in the world?

Honestly don’t really have specific examples but I have seen it a fair bit, mainly on Twitter back in the day. I don’t think it’s anywhere near a majority but enough to be visible.

They’re all just as bad and probably worse. But Is there really a need to pick a side in the capitalist infighting? IMO we should lean more into how capitalism made Russia go from a major power to a poor oligarchy.

To conclude. Most people who vote Centre-"Left" to Centre-Right don't actually know or understand what they are voting for and that it's all just neo-liberalism.

A lot of Centre-"Left" voters don't even know what their party platform is and just assume that it's way more to the left than it actually is.
