Politics, community care, romantasy, fiber arts, parenting. Throw in some humor to keep my spirits up.
A couple of my favorite signs from today. It was a great turn out for democracy.

I just left the Everglades Immigrant Interment Camp. No, I’m not using their ridiculous name. It was a very tough to witness humans in those cages. Every Floridian should be ashamed that our taxpayer money is being used for this.

I have called my Rep’s D.C. office and asked her staff to find out how to stop the voting on the floor. The Repubs are keeping the “5 min” votes open for 2+ hours to get the votes needed to pass their anti-people legislation. Call yours too and tell them to stop the vote until procedure is clear.

Elderly and disabled people told Congress that cutting Medicaid could kill people and in response, they were arrested in their wheelchairs.

What the hell are we doing?
People in wheelchairs are getting arrested right now in the Russell Senate Office Building in DC. They showed up to tell Congress not to cut their Medicaid, because they cant afford health care without it. If you look closely you can see the zip ties on their hands. #WeWontGetOverLosingMedicaid

He was detained outside church.

“He was in chains at his feet,” Alondra Sotelo-Garcia told a local news outlet about seeing her father arrested. “Shoelaces were taken off, his belt was off, he didn’t have his ring, he didn’t have his watch. Everything was taken from him.”

AOC: Tom Homan said he was going to refer me to DOJ because I’m using my free speech rights in order to advise people of their constitutional protections… to that I say: Come for me… Do I look like I care?

There’s nothing illegal about it and if they want to make it illegal, they can come take me.

They did everything they were supposed to do. His application for citizenship was "under review," he was a father and husband, a small business owner, a valuable part of our community. They took him anyway. Please help support this family.

Why should you be concerned about Trump “accidentally” deporting people who have zero criminal record?

Because if he can do it to them — and ignore judges when they tell him to stop — he can do it to anyone he wants.
