For my 3rd quilt, I asked a friend what her kid would like.
Of course he wanted Minecraft.

I struggled to find a "pixel" design that inspired me, but I also wanted to follow a tutorial directly this time. Eventually, I picked this delightful video instead:

And here's quilt #2 done! I got the hang of handling the sandwich through my machine about halfway through, but of course I started in the middle, so the wonky bits are centered!
Oops.
Backed it with leftover custom fabric from Sygna Suit Blue's jacket, which we had 3 yards of for some reason.

The assembly of this one was a lot faster since I was able to chain sew. I also figured out how to attach and use my walking foot for this project.

On to Quilt #2! I bought these cute flannel Justice League panels at the death of Jo-Ann, and I wanted to use up as many parts of them as I could. I stuck to primary colors and tried to make a layout where the same fabric wasn't touching itself anywhere.

Baby's first quilt! I learned a lot in the process, the seams didn't nest as well as I'd like, and there are some obvious puckers, but I mostly just powered through and accepted/sewed over the problem spots. Overall, it took about 2 days, and was really fun.

Picked out a tablecloth I thrifted for the backer. I was going to dye it for a Link tunic, but I ended up using a different fabric altogether.

Spheal is a modified version of this pattern! - it's designed for DK weight, I used blanket yarn and made the additional details out of yarn. www.loopycathrine.com/amigurumi-pa...
